Course Objectives: After active participation in the course, students will have the following:
• A broad overview of the National Core Arts Standards, instructional strategies, lesson design and management techniques for arts integration.
• Articulate and incorporate the Multiple Intelligence Theory in energizers, strategies and integrated arts lessons for diverse learners.
• Appreciate music, theater and movement as a process and product and recognize both are essential for effective arts integration.
• Recognize that students will experience and learn about the arts in a variety of ways.
• Recognize the arts can be a motivational force that contributes in unique ways to the creation of a positive learning environment for active engagement and audience appreciation.
